Accredited by the British Council and a member of English UK, Crest Schools of English has over 20 years’ experience in running English language courses and is one of the longest established English language schools in the UK. The School is situated in Edgware, a very pleasant residential suburb of North West London. We offer quality tuition at reasonable prices throughout the year for all levels from beginner to proficiency. Courses prepare students for IELTS and Cambridge examinations and we also offer English for Specific Purposes such as Business and Executive English. We can arrange accommodation for our students and airport transfers. A social programme is available throughout the year. The School provides free internet/email access for students.

Location
The School is situated in Edgware, a very pleasant suburb of North West London. We are near to the centre of London, but without the typical disadvantages of the large city such as pollution, overcrowding and stress. On the contrary, we enjoy all the advantages of wonderful open spaces and parkland, excellent shopping, sports facilities, restaurants, cafes and pubs and a friendly, suburban location. Museums, theatres and tourist attractions are easily accessible and only a short distance away.

The School is open throughout the year and a summer school takes place every year during July and August.

Students may select full-time, part-time and intensive courses and classes are held in the daytime and evenings. Students may choose to combine group lessons with individual tuition. Discounts are available for long-stay students and group bookings.

Social programme is organised every month by the school. Crest Schools of English is affiliated with London Crest Open Centre, one of the largest Cambridge ESOL examination centres in the UK which offers an extensive range of English and Business English examinations.

Our Staff
All teachers are qualified to the standards required by the British Council Accreditation Scheme. Teachers and non-teaching members of staff are on hand to advise and support students and we are able to provide the level of personal care and attention to detail which larger institutions are unable to do.

Teaching methods
Our students enjoy learning in a relaxed, friendly and supportive environment with the best combination of up-to-date teaching and traditional approaches. Students are encouraged to become confident in all aspects of the English language as well as learning about British culture and the British way of life. Our bright, comfortable and well-furnished classrooms seat an average of 12 students. Small classes enable students to receive personal attention from our teachers and this encourages rapid progress in learning English.

Academic resources and facilities
We use the most up-to-date course books and supplementary material in class and our teachers are always eager to advise you on resource materials for self-study and examinations. Students are encouraged to use the many resources available at the school including books, tapes and CDs.
