WHO WE ARE

Bloomsbury International is a young, innovative, British Council accredited English Language School and Trinity TESOL Teacher Training Centre in the heart of London. Only a few minutes walk from the British Museum & Library, Covent Garden, Oxford Street & the West End, it is in the ideal location for student life in London. Our beautiful historic building & outstanding modern facilities are a wonderful mix of the old & new, combining to create the perfect learning environment.

Since our foundation in 2004, we have taught over 4,000 satisfied students from more than 70 different countries, many of whom have used their language studies and training to progress onto higher education or further their careers, both in the UK and overseas. With up to 600 students in the school, there are many opportunities to make lifelong international friends and learn about other cultures.

The range of courses available includes, General English, Business English, Exam Preparation, EAP & ESP, English plus Culture Vacation courses, Teacher Training and Hospitality and Tourism programmes.

WHAT WE OFFER

The English Department runs a wide range of programmes in General English, IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL & CAMBRIDGE Examination preparation, Business English, ESP and EAP in small groups or One-to-One, English plus Culture Vacation courses, Internship, Academic Year and University Foundation programmes. There are morning, midday and afternoon timetables for most courses with options of 15, 20, 25 or 30 lessons per week.

The Teacher Training Department offers courses leading to the internationally recognized Trinity TESOL Cert. qualification with Extension Courses in Teaching English for Young Learners and Business English to provide our graduates with a head-start in the competitive TEFL job market. Our unique 5-week programme includes a 2-day Advanced Grammar Review at the beginning of the course to improve trainees’ knowledge and confidence.

The School of Hospitality and Tourism offers various short and long-term courses leading to practical, internationally recognized industry qualifications from two-week Virgin Atlantic Fares and Ticketing, Galileo, Sabre, Amadeus CRS and Cabin Crew Certificates to one or two-year Undergraduate Diplomas in Hospitality and Tourism Management with Paid Work Placements and University Progression.

Facilities and Premises awarded points of excellence by the British Council include; 16 Classrooms-16PC Computer Lab-20PC Internet Chat Room-30PC iBT TOEFL Test Centre-TOIEC Test Centre-Self Access Study Centre/Library-60 seat Multi-media Theatre/Lecture Room-Free fast Wireless Internet Access and Student Café.

Accommodation choices include Central or Outer Home-stay, Residence and Flat-share options in convenient locations with easy travel links to the school. Accommodation is inspected and monitored to British Council standards to ensure quality.

A Social & Cultural Activity Programme with a diverse, exciting year-round calendar of events is provided for all our students and trainee teachers to ensure the right mix of study and pleasure.
