We are Charles & Irina Ponting. Between us we have over 10 years experience of teaching English to students of all ages.

Harbour Languages was set up to meet the increasing demand to learn English from native speakers who can present English-in-context and develop the students’ awareness of common usage in all situations.

We have a number of teaching centres throughout the south-east of England. Our main business is in organising short-stay non-residential schools supplying teachers and a programme of activities.

Additionally, we offer on-the-job English. An opportunity for students to work in a company. This is, by all accounts, a very effective way of acquiring language quickly. Students are supported through orientation – UK business and the particular enterprise they’ll be working for, given assignments to aid written and presentational skills, and language support to help them get the most out of their learning.
