MIL-The Language Center was established in 1976 as a neighborhood private school for the study of English as a foreign language, with an emphasis on practical application and conversation skills. We currently have about 2300 students ranging in age from 4-70, who attend MIL after school or work. Our staff consists of the Teaching Director(American), the General Manager(Japanese), the Teaching Coordinator (American), 30 full-time teachers (North Americans), and about 30 Japanese office staff workers. We have 2 main schools with 4 classrooms each, and 8 branch schools with 2 or 3 classrooms each. All MIL schools have extensive teaching resource libraries. Our main schools are located about 40 minutes from Narita International Airport, and about an hour from central Tokyo. All MIL schools are adjacent to train lines.
