Language point: prepositions
I sometimes use coloured balls (lightweight ones, e.g. those that are used in ball pools) to get students to review simple prepositions. Start with one ball, say how and who you're throwing it to, e.g. "Across the floor to Ahmed,". Encourage everyone to have a go so that they overcome any feelings of embarrassment, then I introduce more balls so that the speed builds up and the students get lots of repetition (they must use a different ppreposition each time). It's great fun, especially when they start throwing the ball 'under their leg' , 'behind them' or 'past their bottom' as they become more inventive!
