Language point: small and tall animals
'Your head is in the clouds', said the snake to the giraffe, glancing up to the stars to see. As he didn't have his spectacles on (he was short - sighted, of course, because he only ever had to look at the ground), it was very difficult to see eye to eye with the giraffe. Everything went hazy around the middle of his neck and his spots started to disappear. The giraffe looked down through the cloudy mist - he too could only just about see the snake on the jungle ground below - a tiny speck on the horizon. The giraffe went cross - eyed peering down. In fact, it was only because the snake was moving through the palm leaves that he could be spotted at all. The giraffe waved at the passengers of a Boeing 747 passing by his right ear - he could just about hear the pilots chatting in the cockpit over the sound of the Northern wind blowing. A crow flew past and dropped a wriggly worm (that he had picked for his breakfast) onto the giraffe's nose.
