Body language

Posted by SS.

Language point: Vocabulary

Pupils read body language everyday. We all recognize signs that let us know how someone is feeling before they have spoken a word. Write some vocabulary words or phrases on separate strips. Put them in an envelope. As each student selects a strip, he/she should act it out without noise, using body language and emotions. Other students must guess the word or phrase form the student's illustrations. If some of the words were not guessed, we return them to the envelope. We continue this process until all the words are acted out. If for some reason any word were not guessed, the teacher would explain it and the groups would lose some points.
