8th July - 19th August 6 Week Contract. 3rd July - 7th July Induction Course. 6 weeks' work with a family-run business, in operation since 1970. In 2008 we have 360 young learners in a boarding school environment.


RENUMERATION:
£254.50 per week.
£86.50 for 3 day induction course.
6 week period = £1613.50
Days-off / Holiday:
7 days-off (24hr rest periods) throughout the full period of '6 week contract' + '3 day induction'. The above renumeration has been calculated to include 3 days' holiday, ie. 1 day per 2 week work period (paid as Statutory Holiday Pay).
Facilities:
Accomodation, food etc. provided at Hurst College, ideal countryside location, 20 minute drive from Brighton.
Training provided:
Child Protection seminar and certificate; short Fire and Health & Safety presentation.
Other:
Staff fortnightly social programme.


EFL TEACHERS' DUTIES include ..............
a) 18 hrs teaching per week:
5 mornings of teaching 2 x 90min lessons; 3 evenings of 60min lessons.
b) Residential Supervision:
Average 4hrs daily supervision, 6 days a week, on regular rota basis:
eg. Night Duties every 4th night, obligation to stay in your residential house (paid throughout the night); Afternoon Duties 3 afternoons out of 4; Excursions - full-day once a week, afternoon once a week.
c) Administration:
6hrs paid per week for planning, filing, reports/certificates, meetings etc.

REQUIREMENTS:
Teachers/Leaders must obviously be willing to work with children and use skills beyond their specialized qualifications.
Candidates must already have a UK passport or visa to work here.
Additional to that you must be willing to undergo a Criminal Records Bureau check (at our expense).
CELTA/TESOL or equivalent 100 hr input ELT course.
Teaching experience of children preferred.
