SUMMER EFL TEACHERS

We are looking to employ enthusiastic, flexible and friendly individuals to fill the following posts:

SALISBURY

1) RESIDENTIAL Teachers working with juniors aged 6 to 12 years. Contracts start from 2 July 2006. Contracts are available for 5 or 6 weeks.
The residential teaching staff teach in the mornings and help with the social activities some afternoons, evenings and one weekend day.

WEYMOUTH

2) NON-RESIDENTIAL teachers for 13 to 17 year olds. Contracts available from 4 or 17 July 2006. Contracts available for 2 to 5 weeks.

There are two Weymouth Homestay teaching posts. The first is for teachers who teach 20 lessons per week and are not contracted to help with any social activities. The second involves teaching 20 lessons per week and also helping with social activities for 13 to 17 year olds three afternoons and evenings per week and one weekend day. Accommodation is found by the school and a rent subsidy is paid by the school each week.

Qualifications:

Teachers should have either the RSA or Trinity College Certificate or Diploma. Experience is preferable although not essential.

RESIDENTIAL TEACHERS - SALISBURY

As all staff are paid holiday pay each week. Please add the holiday pay to the basic pay to work out your total weekly wage. Pay rates are as follows:

a) Teachers with the Diploma working for the Salisbury School of English for the first or second time £358.80 basic pay and £31.20 holiday pay per week.

b) Teachers new to the Salisbury School of English and with more than 3 years TEFL work experience £333.04 basic pay and £28.96 holiday pay per week.

c) Teachers new to the Salisbury School of English and with less than 3 years TEFL work experience £314.64 basic pay and £27.36 holiday pay per week.

Full board accommodation is provided at the residential centre.

NON-RESIDENTIAL TEACHERS - WEYMOUTH

1) Homestay Activities teachers in Weymouth for 13 to 17 year olds.

As all staff are paid holiday pay each week. Please add the holiday pay to the basic pay to work out your total weekly wage. Pay rates are as follows:

a) RSA or Trinity College Diploma in TEFL or other qualification deemed by the Director of Studies to be the equivalent of an RSA Diploma, and with a minimum of 3 years’ full time TEFL experience. £320.16 basic pay per week & £27.84 holiday pay per week

b) RSA or Trinity College Certificate in TEFL and at least 3 years’ full time TEFL experience. £309.12 basic pay per week & £26.88 holiday pay per week

c) RSA or Trinity College Certificate and less than 3 year’s full time EFL experience. £280.60 basic pay per week & £24.40 holiday pay per week

2) Homestay teachers in Weymouth (no social obligations.) Staff teach EFL 20 lessons per week.

As all staff are paid holiday pay each week. Please add the holiday pay to the basic pay to work out your total weekly wage. Pay rates are as follows:


a) RSA or Trinity College Diploma in TEFL or other qualification deemed by the Director of Studies to be the equivalent of an RSA Diploma, and with a minimum of 3 years’ full time TEFL experience. £212.52 basic pay per week & £18.48 holiday pay per week

b) RSA or Trinity College Certificate in TEFL and at least 3 years’ full time TEFL experience. £199.64 basic pay per week & £17.36 holiday pay per week

c) RSA or Trinity College Certificate and less than 3 year’s full time EFL experience. £193.20 basic pay per week & £16.80 holiday pay per week


There is a £25 per week subsidy for all staff without homes in Weymouth and needing to rent accommodation. We also help find staff accommodation in Weymouth.
