We are one of the biggest summer school providers in the UK and are proud to be market leaders. We aim for high standards in our programs and consequently we are looking for enthusiastic, hard-working, outgoing, involving, teaching staff and leisure organisers. SCOTLAND: Edinburgh, St. Andrews
Our Teachers
PLUS teachers lead classes every morning, help out with some afternoon and evening activities and join the weekend excursions. Teachers are all qualified, native-level English speakers who want to help students improve their English while having fun with the language. Students will get to know their teacher very well so we are looking for friendly, professional and dedicated individuals for this role. We can provide FREE MEALS and FREE ACCOMMODATION on campus. TEACHING POSITIONS ARE AVAILABLE FOR BETWEEN 2 - 8 WEEKS
Our Course Directors
Course Directors are responsible for the smooth running of the academic course, and for ensuring that the teaching is of a high standard.
You will observe teachers regularly and also run a teacher training session on one afternoon a week. The CD is responsible for conducting the placement test efficiently, allocating students to classes, maintaining course administration, organising external examination entries, and, together with the Welfare Director, appointing teachers to assist with local afternoon visits and the sports programme.
Course Directors are required to run a full-day induction meeting for their teachers at their centre shortly before the start of the course (one day’s salary payable), and to attend a briefing in London prior to the start of the course (travelling expenses plus one day’s salary to be paid with first salary). Interviews are held in London (for which travel expenses are not reimbursed), or in exceptional circumstances, by phone.
