DIRECTOR and Faculty of EFL AND APPLIED LINGUISTICS

Applications are invited for (Male and Female) faculty positions at University College - Yanbu, Yanbu Al-Sinaiyah, Saudi Arabia for February 2006, September 2006 and February 2007 and beyond. Applicants that are qualified and committed will be considered for positions as Associate/Assistant Professor/Senior Lecturer/Lecturer/Instructor/Teacher and will be expected to teach Bachelors/Associate Degree level courses and/or pre-college courses as well as to undertake other duties as required by the college. Applicants should possess relevant Doctorate (PhD/EDD)/Master’s (MS/MA) Degrees with suitable academic and field experience. The medium of instruction at the college is strictly ENGLISH. Applications from candidates in the following areas are welcomed:

1. DIRECTOR, EFL CENTER
Must be native English language speaker. Should have any PhD + 4 years experience or MS/MA + 6 years of relevant experience and TEFL/TESL certification from a recognized western institution. Two or more years of teaching experience are preferred.
2. ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE (EFL) FACULTY
Must be native English language speaker. Should have any BS/BA and TEFL/TESL certification from a recognized institution. Two or more years of relevant teaching experience are preferred.
3. APPLIED LINGUISTICS AND TRANSLATION FACULTY
Preferably native English language speaker. Should have PhD in Applied Linguistics, English, or Translation for Associate/Assistant Professor positions. Should have MS/MA in same fields for Senior Lecturer/Lecturer positions. Two or more years of relevant teaching experience is preferred. Successful candidates are expected to teach BA degree courses in Applied Linguistics/ Translation, work on curriculum development activities as well as other college assignments.
Package:
 Attractive Salary, depending on qualification and experience, plus Local Transportation Allowance, Free Furnished Housing, Healthcare coverage in RC Hospital, Round trip ticket to place of origin up to four person every year and tuition fees for school age dependent children (6 to 18 years old for 2 children) is offered.
 60 Days Annual Summer Vacation
 Initially, Two Years Contract, Renewable annually.
