Location:
Culturlingua Mexico Language Schools, Cotija town (10,000)Periban town (10,000 residents), Los Reyes city (40,000 people), and Sahuayo city (50,000 people) are
all within a one hour radius of each other and are situated in the heart of
the beautiful state of Michoacan and located 250 km south-east of Guadalajara. All this cities enjoy warm tropic-like days with cool refreshing mountain breezes in the evenings, year round. We also have easy access to the coastal resorts of Puerto Vallarta, Manzanillo and Ixtapa situated approximately 6 hours away by car.
Full-time teachers (Teacher with ESL, EFL, TESO; CELTA degree or teaching
experience) are expected to teach 6 hours daily, Monday through Friday.
NO SATURDAYS). New teachers normally sign a 5 month probationary
contract and are paid twice a month. The wage varies depending on the value
of the peso, but is an adequate living wage in Mexico. Accommodations are
provided in the teacher’s residence, a furnished apartment three blocks from
the school. Teachers are responsible for the cost of food, utilities and
personal needs, as well as transportation to and from Mexico. This is not a
get - rich job, but it is a unique opportunity to visit and learn the
language and culture of Mexico.
Students at Culturlingua Mexico range in age from 3 to 50 years old. Class
size normally does not exceed 12 students. Classes are one hour in duration
and are offered from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.. Teachers may be assigned
classes during any of these hours.

Most teachers find this sufficient for living expenses as well as for some
recreational expenses. As in most teaching positions, teachers are not paid
for lesson preparation time or for attending the weekly one hour teacher’s
meeting.
Responsibilities:
-30 teaching hours a week (no Saturdays)
-Classes are between 7.00 am and 9:00 pm, are 1 hour in duration and up to
12 students in size.
-Attendance at weekly teachers` meeting
-Preparation of weekly lessons
