1. Prepare lesson plans, mark homework according to the guidelines set by Aston
2. Follow the curriculum, the course aims and lesson objectives
3. Complete the teacher’s Daily Class Log
4. Carry out on-going assessments
5. Conduct and grade mid-term and final exams
6. Complete all assessment paperwork, grade cards, assessment forms and Aston Passports for Success
7. Work with the Chinese teacher to ensure effective lessons
8. Attend training events
9. Undertake professional development, lesson observation and feedback.
10. Abide by Aston’s policies as outlined in the contract and staff manual
• Native speakers of English at least 23 years old
• Nationalities preferred are Canadian, British, American, Australian,
Irish, and New Zealander
• College degree in any subject
• TEFL Certificate
• working/teaching experience after graduating
• Must enjoy teaching children classes
