Has anyone completed their certification through Global TEFL?

From what I can tell, the class in Rohnert Park is hosted by Sonoma State University and accredited by the School of International Teaching (SIT), but I haven't heard any mention of SIT before I found the program.

Is it a good program? Since it's through a state university, I am more inclined to believe it's reputable, but I wanted to ask and see if anyone has gone through this training.

I'm planning on teaching English in Japan, so if anyone knows, I'd like to know if the certificate would be recognized there.
