We are really interested in teaching in China next year.

I will graduate from my BA in History in November, 2011 (have been studying part time whilst working full time for the last 5 years). We would like to head over to China immediately after this - say early December.

I am aware that this is not the usual time to start teaching in China, would there be any work starting around this time?

We have to be in Ireland in June, 2012 for a wedding and thought if we arrived in China in December this would maximise our available time in China.

The alternative is to remain in New Zealand for the summer then head to China in Feb to start the new term - would this be a feasible plan? Do many schools offer short term contracts? We would like to return to China after the wedding in Ireland if everything goes well.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Regards,
Emma
