There are many exams available for ESL and EFL students, and their choice will depend on their reasons for learning English. Students may take an exam to gain entrance to university, to improve job prospects, or to generally assess progress. For this reason, some exams are designed to test language skills in a business or academic context, and others to test skills in a more general context.
