It’s almost good-bye time….. Time flew by so quickly. I have 2 more classes and guess what? One of them got cancelled because we already did all the input sessions for that day! As a result, I have one more day left for the CELTA! Can you believe it? (o_O)

Problem: I hope I don’t forget that we don’t have the course anymore and end up being there in class waiting for everyone to come!! AAah I’m a geek! Hehehe.

However, it will be a great challenge to teach in a class without 7 people watching (5 colleagues and 2 tutors will be missing!). Plus, I won’t have anyone to check my lesson plans :(

Conclusion: Believe it or not, I feel like I swallowed a bulldozer already (just the same way I felt on my first day of the course!). I was once told that when you lose that feeling, you should change your career.

Hello my dear colleagues. My name is Sena Selin Kalan. I’ve written here before about my experiences. Today I want to continue…
Being an english teacher is a very honourable job as you know. Teaching something to someone is very exciting. You feel yourself very happy. As I mentioned before, I had my primary, secondary and high school education in Ahmet Şimşek college. My university life started after that. And I graduated from English Language and Literature Department. Later on, I entered Marmara University and finished my master there and took my Pedagogical Formation Certificate. I had my training in İstek Acıbadem Private College for four months.
My first working experience was in The Ministry Of Education Private Ekol Maritime and Sailors Education Center. I was very relaxed and comfortable while I was teaching my students because I love this job. I love teaching useful knowledge to people.
I had 25 students. They were in the Prep class. Their ages were close to me. There were only 2 or 3 years between us. We became friends. They were very kind. We had very enjoyable lessons, we were playing games, making competitions, talk for hours in the lessons. Being creative is very important in teaching according to me. I taught them Enlish Grammar. The students in my class and also the administration became so satisfied with me that they wanted me to teach business english also. I excepted their offer. And started teaching maritime lessons too.
We still see each other, meet and talk on the phone. I enjoyed my time there and wish everyone to have such a work experience throughout their lives.
I am giving english lessons in another language center now.
I wish all my colleagues, my teachers and everyone healthy, happy and successful days.
