Entry requirements	The trainees must be over 18 years of age. They may be people already teaching EFL but without qualifications; people who would like to teach EFL but have neither qualifications nor experience; teachers of other subjects who would like to move into ELT. Both native and non-native speakers of English are accepted, but a very solid command of both written and spoken English is essential. Also required are basic computer skills. Applicants are usually expected to have reached an A-level standard of education (= High School graduation, Matura, Bacc, etc), but admission is based on the pre-course task and interview and is at the tutors' discretion.
Dates	2 April - 12 July 2012 (This is the "on-line" CELTA, the teaching practice takes place at TLC from 8 - 25 May and 19 - 6 June) 25 August - 23 November 2012
Means of assessment	Assessment is via continuous assessment by your tutors, and not by an examination or one practical test. Lesson plans, written assignments and observed lessons are all part of this.

Course content / syllabus

The CELTA is by far the most widely recognized introductory teaching qualification for candidates who have little or no previous English language teaching experience. It may also be suitable for candidates with some experience but little previous training.

TLC- The Language Company in Baden offers 3 optional CELTA courses from 2012. These are the only part-time or on-line courses on offer in the Zürich region and are run by the some of the most experienced and popular local EFL trainers. The courses take place within a real language school environment giving them an authenticity appreciated by trainees. The part-time format of makes for optimal learning. As a result these courses are very popular and interested teachers need to apply well in advance.
