FOREIGN LANGUAGE TUITION
You will receive lessons in an unknown foreign language to show you how simple it can be to learn a language from scratch. There will be no English spoken so you can gain insight into the methods used in TEFL, when there are no common words between teacher and pupil. This will also allow you to ‘experience it from the other side’, giving you an emphatic understanding of the difficulties your future pupils may encounter.
LANGUAGE AWARENESS
You will learn the sounds, grammar and structure of your own language. Areas covered:
Parts of speech, sentence structure, verb tenses

Conditionals
Modal verbs and auxiliary verbs

You will be given demonstrations and be led through a series of workshops in the following areas:
Lesson planning, creating materials, scenario usage, teaching aids

Teaching ESP (English for Special Purposes)
