DELTA

The Cambridge Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults (DELTA) at Languages International is normally run on a part-time basis over 10 months.

The course components are as follows:
Language awareness
The background to teaching and learning English at adult level
Resources and materials
Working in the classroom
Evaluation, monitoring and assessment
Professional development
These are covered by means of input seminars, supervised teaching assignments and lesson observation.

Assessment on the course is internal and external, and consists of practical teaching assignments, written assignments and one three-hour external written examination.

Course participants should have at least a first degree (or equivalent), Cambridge CELTA and two years experience teaching English language to adult learners.

Course Dates and Times
We offer part-time DELTA courses. Normally, courses run part-time over 10 months from February until the end of November.

Input sessions are conducted in the late afternoon and observations are carried out on classes that teachers are working with as part of their employment. This means those wanting to follow a course will probably need to be living and working in Auckland for the duration of the course.

Whether we run a course or not depends on demand. For further details, please send an e-mail message to info@languages.ac.nz
