This is a practical teaching course designed to give candidates who have little or no previous English language teaching experience the knowledge and skills needed to teach English around the world. It is also suitable for candidates with some experience who are already in the profession, but who have no formal or practical teaching qualification.

We offer a full timetable of formal input sessions, where you will be introduced to the nuts and bolts of language teaching, covering the principles of effective teaching and also a range of practical skills enabling you to teach English to adult learners. Each trainee can expect a minimum of 10 teaching hours observed and unobserved during the course, in addition to observing experienced English teachers in the classroom and completing a range of practically focused written assignments, which help you to analyse and refine your teaching skills. By the end of the course, you will have a thorough grasp of the essentials of teaching English, along with a broad range of effective teaching techniques and classroom management skills.
