| Entry requirements | Selection: The successful applicant demonstrate that they: • Have the study skills required to complete the course programme and coursework • Are able to communicate clearly, correctly and appropriately in spoken and written English to the standards required to undertake the course programme and complete the coursework. • Are able to comply with the attendance requirements and are in a position to complete all necessary coursework. • Candidates for whom English is not their first language must also provide documentary evidence (from within the last two years) that their level of English is equivalent to Common European Framework level C1; Cambridge ESOL Certificate in Advanced English (Grade C subject to interview), IELTS band 6.5 (no lower than 6.0 on any individual paper) etc. These will be assessed by a member of the admissions office by referring to candidates’ application form, pre-course tasks, interview, experience (where relevant), references (where relevant), copy of degree and copy of English language proficiency certification (where relevant). Enrolment: Applicants will be contacted to arrange an interview. Following the interview, applicants will receive notification if they have been successful. |

| Means of assessment | In order to pass the whole course and obtain a Certificate, candidates must • Successfully complete their teaching practice • Attend all lesson observations and complete all observation tasks • Successfully complete all written assignments • Meet the attendance requirements (a minimum of 90% for input sessions and 100% for observations and teaching practice) On completion of the course, candidates are given a final report with detailed assessment of teaching skills, awareness and professionalism. Successful candidates receive a certificate detailing their overall grade no more than eight weeks after the end of the course. |
