Course details

The Cambridge CELTA is the most honoured and widely-received entry-level credential in the world for teaching English as a second or foreign language (TESL / TEFL). ILI's CELTA program is recognized by TESL Canada and ILI's CELTA graduates are eligible for TESL Canada Level 1 professional certification. ILI's CELTA course is also transferable into university credit-- please ask for details. As the first CELTA centre in North America, ILI has been offering Cambridge Teacher Training programs since 1985 and has the most cost-effective CELTA training in Canada and the United States. Each year we welcome candidates from all over the world. Applicants range in age from 20 to 75 and come from a variety of backgrounds: retired teachers and other retired professionals, recent university graduates, individuals or couples hoping to teach and travel overseas, those looking for a career change or to teach ESL in their local community, or teachers hoping to add new skills to their repertoire.
