CELTA

Course details

CELTA is an introductory course for candidates who have little or no previous English language teaching experience. It may also be suitable for those with some experience but with little previous training. Well-established internationally, internally assessed and externally moderated, it is intensive and practical.
Successful candidates will:

■receive a certificate from Cambridge ESOL and a detailed report from the School of Education.

■gain knowledge and skills in English language teaching (ELT) based on international best practice.

■satisfy the basic minimum teaching qualification requirements for staff in accredited English language teaching centres in Australia and most centres world wide.

■be well briefed in job-seeking skills, using the internet to access one of the many international employment opportunities.
