Country info and advice - Switzerland
The following comments are from teachers who have worked, or are currently working, in Switzerland. If you are a teacher and have some advice about Switzerland, please share here.
Teaching in Switzerland has so
far been a very positive experience for me. The hourly pay is, for the most
part, fabulous, working conditions are professional, life is civilized and
largely affordable, especially compared to the UK, and there are a shed load of
language schools. The lovely Swiss are gagging to learn English and pay a
fortune for the pleasure. Great! One downside is the hours. If you want to make
big bucks you have to work for a couple of schools, or for the state. Hopp Schweiz!

A good 90% of Swiss language institutes and school would hire native speakers only. No exceptions. Non native speakers will struggle even to hand in their application or CV.
