Country info and advice - Dominican Republic
The following comments are from teachers who have taught, or are currently teaching, in Dominican Republic. If you are a teacher and have some advice to share, please add it here.
Things to keep in mind...
Schools operate 3 times per day! Morning, afternoon and evening. Stores are
closed mid day for Siesta. Internet cafes are everywhere and cheap. Moto taxis
will take you anywhere you want to go as will taxis. Make sure that you
negotiate a price BEFORE you get on/into the vehicle. Gua Gua's (buses) are one
set price. Pay the driver when you get on.
