TESOL Arabia 2007

Best Practices in English Language Teaching is the theme of this year’s TESOL Arabia Conference, which gets underway tomorrow in Dubai. The conference features 250 speakers and over 200 sessions, including “Students’ Attention Span- Where Has It Gone?”, “The Learner as “Customer”, What’s to Know?” and “A Bag of Tricks for Vocabulary Teaching”.

Have a look at the TESOL Arabia website for more.

I lived in the Middle East for 15 years. The demand for English teachers never dropped. Today in the UAE (AD, Dubai, RAK etc.), there are so many expatriates teaching English, yet the demand still remains high! When I was in university, I did my work experience at HCT Al-Ain. Observing the English teachers there, I decided to take the CELTA. I hope to return back to HCT one day, as a teacher. I’m glad there is a site such as TESOL Arabia. It helps us catch up on what we left behind. Thanks.
